We’re using FSC® Certified paper within our business

We’re making changes. That make a difference.

We’ve got big plans to become a carbon neutral and zero waste company by 2030 and we’re already committing to change within our business.

Not only have we pledged to reduce the amount of paper used within our offices and factory, but we’re only using FSC® certified paper that has been harvested in a responsible manner and is fully recyclable. Did you know that FSC® certified paper often contains previously recycled paper and post-consumer waste (PCW) material?

Post-consumer waste paper stock refers to a type of recycled paper that is made entirely from post-consumer waste which is waste that people have actually used and then recycled instead of discarding to landfills. Post-consumer waste could be any paper product that is recycled from a variety of items including milk cartons, books, junk mail, magazines and more.

By using recycled PCW paper stock, we’re helping to preserve forests because it reduces the demand for wood. It also conserves resources and generates less pollution during manufacturing, because the fibres have already been processed once. This results in less air and water pollution also. In fact, the process to make it uses about 75% less water than its virgin-fibre counterpart. If waste paper is discarded to landfill, it will decompose and ultimately emit methane gas, which traps up to 25 times more heat than carbon dioxide over a 100-year period.

We aim to be as eco-friendly as possible with printed marketing materials and by using FSC® certified paper and paper made from PCW, this is just one opportunity for us to go greener.
