Health and Beauty Retailer
Creating the ultimate mother and baby destination for a leading health and beauty retailer and bringing their proposition to life
We started with their existing concept designs, building our understanding of what they were trying to achieve and applying our expertise. During the prototyping process, we discovered some of the resulting displays were not baby-friendly, some having sharp pointy edges that could cause injury in a high-traffic thoroughfare.
This meant our design team had to unpick and redesign the existing work to create manufacture ready designs that were safe for installation in a baby store.
The final result delivers a whole new customer experience which guides users through the journey of an infant, right from the lifestyle shop window which forms the entry point, through to the three key product areas of fashion, travel and essentials.
As well as delivering mid-floor fixtures and mannequins across the stores we also built and installed the key showcase features. These included a buggy wall that allows shoppers to test and try-out products, enabling them to navigate this complex category. These service destinations were designed to give a real sense of purpose to the baby studio offering a place to rest, get help, advice and inspiration whilst providing a healthy wellness pit-stop for kids and pregnant mums.
We made a scalable and modular solution that was supplied and fitted into 10 pilot stores and making sure there was a strong focus on moveability and future fit.
sdi got it straightaway and really helped take us from the theory to the practice. We had a concept but it was sdi who worked out how to make it a reality. Their expertise and approach really helped us to get over the line.
