Boundary Outlet

Following a complete store refresh, Boundary Outlet wanted to attract a wider demographic to their coffee shop with a contemporary look and feel.  


Our solution

Our main objective was to re-establish BBs Cafe as a destination for existing and new customer’s.  We begin all projects with customer journey mapping strategy which we applied to this project.

Our knowledge of the Boundary Outlet consumer, store and operational activities helped us gain understanding and add value to the design process.  

As part of the design process, and to mirror the main store identity, we implemented a sophisticated and modern colour palette, new furniture, feature lighting and plants.  

The customer flow is simple.  We implemented a large counter and stunning blue tiles with electronic menu boards to aid selection.  This also means updates can be made instantly without the need for paper and print.  #sustainable  

As part of the brief, we were asked to look at the full visual identity for the project including the logo, menu boards, iconography and patterns which further add to the interior aesthetics.    

Using clever VM devices such as crittall effect glass panels we managed to zone the large interior without it feeling disconnected and a homely feel retained.  

We wanted customers to feel comfortable in the new space so chose furniture and lighting which wouldn’t be out of place in their homes.  This allows people to relax and enjoy their coffee and food purchases.  

We introduced foliage throughout the store to add a homely feel.

Since the refresh, BBs Café has attracted an array of new customers who are enjoying longer dwell times and an increased spend.

We are currently working with Boundary Outlet on some exciting in store initiatives.
