Modern Slavery Policy

Modern Slavery or any other form of labour exploitation, has no place in our organisation or our supply chain. We are committed to taking necessary steps to identify our supply chain. We are committed to taking necessary steps to identify and address the risks. Where we find that exploitation is occurring, we want to ensure that victims receive the support they require.

Our Commitment

We believe that the most effective way to tackle modern slavery is to collaborate with our clients, supply chain partners and other stakeholders, we will look for any opportunities to share our learning and to learn from others. To support our learning and gain access to updated information and resources, we have registered on the Stronger Together website.

In addition, we are committed to the Employer Pays Principle which states that 'no worker should pay for a job - the costs of recruitment should be bome not by the worker but by the employer' and this is reflected in our policies and practices.

Our Governance

Our Managing Director leads our work on modern slavery at Board Level, whilst our Heads of Operations hold operational responsibility for modern slavery across the organisation manages the implementation and reporting of our modern slavery work.

Our Strategy

We are developing our systems, policies and processes to ensure that we have an effective framework by which our workers, staff members and supply chain partners are clear about our expectations and are supported to raise their awareness and understanding of this challenging and sensitive issue.

Our Communication

We have published our Modern Slavery Statement on our website to provide a detailed update of our approach. We have also voluntary uploaded our Statement on the UK Government's Modern Slavery Registry and will continue to do so.



Modern Slavery Statement

This statement was approved by the Board of SDI Displays Ltd on 04 September 2025 and is published in accordance with the Modem Slavery Act (2015). It sets out the steps that we have taken to prevent modem slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains during the financial year to 2025

SDI Displays Ltd
Established in 2001, SDI Displays designs and manufactures display solutions in the UK, serving global clients. Based in Copt Oak, Loughborough and operating globally we are a limited company managed via our Board of Directors.

We have a workforce of 170 made up of managerial, professional and skilled workers and on occasion we utilise the availability of temporary labour as and when required.

Supply Chain


Our supply chain includes:

•       Raw materials (metals, plastics, electronic components) sourced globally

•       Contract manufacturers in the UK, EEA, and Asia

•       Logistics, labour agencies, and facility services

We recognise higher risk in regions with weaker labour protections, in the electronics assembly sector, and in the use of agency/temporary labour

Policies


 We have adopted the following:

•       Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy - zero tolerance, clear responsibilities, and escalation processes.

•       Supplier Code of Conduct - prohibits forced labour, child labour, retention of worker documents, and charging recruitment fees.

•       Whistleblowing Policy - confidential and anonymous reporting channels available to staff and supply-chain workers.

•       Recruitment Policy -    no worker pays for a job

 

Due Diligence Processes


Our due diligence includes:

•       Pre-contract checks- supplier questionnaires, Code of Conduct acceptance, and contract clauses on modern slavery.

•       Audits and assessments -targeted site visits and independent social audits for high-risk suppliers.

•       Labour agency checks -    ensuring agencies are licensed and compliant.

•       Remediation approach - immediate safeguarding of affected workers, reimbursement of any unlawful fees, restoration of rights (e.g. return of passports), and engagement with NGOs or authorities if needed.

 

Identification and Mitigation of Supply Chain Risks

We assess risk using:

•       Sector and country analysis -    identifying high-risk geographies and industries.

•       Supplier segmentation - categorising suppliers by spend, geography, and sector to focus on highest risks.

•       Event triggers-e.g. rapid onboarding, subcontracting, or significant cost pressures.

•       Worker feedback -  encouraging direct engagement through surveys and grievance channels.

 

Performance Indicators


We measure effectiveness through KPls such as:

•       % of Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers risk-assessed

•       Number of suppliers audited and corrective actions closed

•       Worker grievances raised and resolved

•       Training completion rates

•       Verified cases of remediation

 

Training and Capacity Building

•       All new employees complete modem slavery awareness training.

•       Annual refresher training is provided to procurement, HR, and operations staff.

•       Supplier trainin  modules are rolled out to high-risk partners.

 

Environmental Policy

 SDI Displays Ltd create, make and supply bespoke retail and POS displays from its manufacturing site in Copt Oak. As a responsible organisation we are committed to protection of the environment, the prevention of pollution, and minimising the impact of our operations on the environment.

To support this statement of intent, SDI Displays Ltd will:

•       Establish, implement and maintain an Environmental management system to meet or exceed the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2015

•       Identify the internal and external issues relevant to the business to enable the company to focus on any priority areas that need to be addressed.

•       SDI will determine if climate change is deemed to be a relevant internal or external issue that affects the processes of its own organisation or that of its stakeholders.

•       Prove a commitment to fulfil its compliance obligations to all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and external requirements which relate to our environmental aspects.

•       Make sufficient resources available to develop, implement and maintain our Environmental Management System.

•       Setting objectives, targets and programmes based on results of monitoring, and a commitment to continual improvement of the environmental management system to enhance environmental performance

•        reduce our use of natural resources such as energy.

•        re-use resources whenever possible rather than dispose of them.

•       encourage the use of recycled materials and recycling initiatives.

 •       provide appropriate environmental training for all our people and encourage them to support this programme.

•       promote communication with internal and external interested parties and respond appropriately to reasonable requests for information about our environmental performance.

•       Communicate our environmental policy to all persons internally or externally of SDI Displays Ltd and make it available when requested.
